How to Choose a Car Pump
When choosing a car pump, there are several things to consider:
1. Power: The power of the car pump should be chosen based on the type of car. For small household cars, a single-cylinder low-power pump is sufficient and will not exceed 180W. However, for large and medium-sized vehicles, a double-cylinder high-power pump is recommended to ensure fast and efficient inflating. A pump with a minimum speed of 35L per minute is recommended, such as the xx double-cylinder pump, which can complete inflating in about 80 seconds. Note that pumps cannot work continuously for a long time, as this may cause the unit to overheat.
2. Speed of Inflation: The speed of inflation is also an important factor to consider. A fast-inflating pump is recommended, as pumps cannot work for a long time. If it takes a long time to inflate one tire, it will take even longer to inflate all four.
3. Pump Head: The pump head is a common component of the car pump, available in threaded and quick-disconnect types. The material is also important, as low-quality materials may be prone to deforming or slipping. Always check the material when selecting a pump head.
4. Tire Pressure Monitor: For vehicles without a tire pressure monitoring system, it is recommended to have a hand-held tire pressure gauge to check the pressure anytime. Digital and mechanical gauges are available. Digital gauges are lighter and easier to carry, but may have measurement errors. Mechanical gauges have better accuracy and can be used for a long time. A tire pressure gauge can add an extra layer of safety to your driving.
5. Other Functions: A car pump should have a range of functions, such as an LED flashlight and extension cord, for multiple uses.
