What does the oil model mean?
Let's take 10W-30 as an example. "W" stands for winter, and the number before it represents the low-temperature flowability of the oil, with a smaller number indicating better flowability. The number after "W" represents the high-temperature performance of the oil, with a larger number indicating better protection at high temperatures.
Oil grades include two parts: the classification and the viscosity specifications. The viscosity specifications are usually marked with the SAE grade, which is the abbreviation of "American Society of Mechanical Engineers".
In summary, the oil model indicates the low-temperature flowability and high-temperature performance of the oil. The "W" before the number represents the low-temperature flowability, and the number after the "W" represents the high-temperature performance.
